Becoming Effective: Rising Out of Obscurity to Advance the Kingdom

For quite some time, I have been in a place of deep reflection, prayer, and stillness before the Lord—pondering who we are as citizens of the Kingdom of God and what that truly means for our time here on the earth.

Dr. Myles Munroe, a man who spoke often of the Kingdom of God and God's purpose for creating the earth and placing us in it, preached several sermons that reverberated in my spirit and has placed a weight on my heart; a holy heaviness, if you will. Recently, as I sat in silent prayer, honestly wrestling with that heaviness, I asked, “Lord, what is this burden? What is this push to advance Your Kingdom that I can’t put into words?” I have prayed. I have cried. I have written and erased and rewritten, trying to capture in language what the Spirit is pressing in my heart.

And today, the light dawned: it is a call to effectiveness.

Without Effectiveness

Without effectiveness, our faith is motion without impact. Without effectiveness, our witness becomes words without evidence. Without effectiveness, the world hears us—but may not yet see Him through us.

Effectiveness, in the context of the Kingdom, is not performance. It is the manifestation of purpose. It is when what God intended flows unhindered through our lives to influence the people and systems around us.

When the love, power, and character of Christ are experienced because of our presence, we are being effective.

Effectiveness Brings Visibility—Not for Us, but for Him

Scripture reminds us:

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14 (KJV)

Many believers today carry great passion but are hidden in obscurity. Not because God wants to keep us unseen, but because we must learn to carry His presence effectively before He allows us greater influence.

Obscurity is often the classroom of effectiveness.

In private, God refines our motives. In obscurity, He teaches us how to steward revelation without pride. In testing, He equips us for impact that truly lasts.

When we emerge from that process—shaped, humbled, and Spirit‑filled—we rise not to make a name for ourselves, but to magnify His Name in every sphere of influence He gives us.

Fruitfulness Before Multiplication: A Kingdom Pattern

As I’ve reflected on what Kingdom effectiveness truly looks like, I’m reminded of God’s repeated instruction throughout Scripture:

“Be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1:28, 9:1, 9:7)

It is not lost on me that God said, “be fruitful” before He said, “and multiply." That divine sequence carries a noteworthy key: before we can multiply anything of impact, we must first become fruitful.

When one first reads the phrase “be fruitful and multiply,” the natural thought might be that multiplication equals fruitfulness. And there are times when multiplication can reflect fruitfulness—yet in this context, I sense the Spirit highlighting something deeper: a call to multiply fruitfulness itself. God is not only inviting us to produce fruit, but to reproduce the capacity to bear fruit.

Fruitfulness is both the foundation and the seed. When it is matured in us—through character, obedience, and transformation—it can then be multiplied through others. In other words, He’s empowering us to multiply the very essence of fruitfulness so that His nature, His truth, and His culture expand exponentially in the Earth.

Fruitfulness speaks to inner productivity — the evidence of character, wisdom, obedience, and maturity. Multiplying before becoming fruitful simply multiplies disorder. But when we are fruitful, multiplication becomes a blessed expansion of godly influence.

For me, this has become a personal revelation and a defining call. As the founder and CEO of Kingdom of Heaven Embassy, I see that my life’s vision is to multiply fruitfulness: to make a practical difference in people’s lives, to raise disciples who walk in purpose, and to see the Kingdom of God expand through intentional duplication—fruitfulness duplicated in others until the entire field reflects the glory of the King.

Rising Out of Obscurity

I am convinced—and my heart burns with this conviction—that once we become effective in our faith walk, we will rise out of obscurity.

This isn’t about fame; it’s about function. This isn’t about spotlight; it’s about stewardship.

When the Church functions effectively, Heaven responds. We begin to see Kingdom culture invade earthly spaces—families healed, ideas birthed, communities transformed, nations discipled.

Effectiveness activates dominion. It positions us to walk in the authority God ordained from the very beginning, when He said, “Let them have dominion…” (Genesis 1:26)

When we operate in that dominion—anchored in humility and guided by love—we no longer just speak about the Kingdom: we demonstrate it.

 Final Thought

Effectiveness is not optional for those who represent the King—it is evidence that His Kingdom is alive within us. When we become fruitful and then multiply that fruitfulness, lives are affected; and when lives are affected, the earth begins to reflect Heaven.

Let’s pursue fruitfulness, effectiveness, and multiplication—until His Kingdom is not only preached but experienced in the Earth.
