THE LONG FIGHT: CLOSING LETTER

To the Warrior Who Made It to Day 7
Friend,
You did it!
Pause for a moment and let that sentence sink in. Don’t rush past it or brush it off. Don’t say, "It was just seven days," as if it didn’t matter.
Because it did.
Seven days of showing up.
Seven days of opening your Bible when you were tired.
Seven days of letting God speak to places you'd been too exhausted or too afraid to let Him into.
Seven days of fighting when the enemy whispered, "Just give up."
And here you are.
Somehow still upright. Somehow still praying. Somehow still choosing Him on Day 7, even though Day 3 nearly took you out.
You may not think that counts for much. It counts. Not to the people around you, maybe, but to the One who was actually with you in it? It counts for everything.
Look at You Now
Can I tell you what I'm convinced is happening in you right now? Because I don't think you can see it yet.
You've changed this week. Not in some dramatic, movie-scene way, but in the quiet way that actually lasts. The person who clicked "Day 1" seven days ago is not the person reading this right now.
And I don't just mean that as encouragement. I mean it as fact.
Something has changed.
Maybe your prayers have gotten bolder.
Maybe your tears have started to feel less like defeat and more like cleansing or liquid worship.
Maybe the voice of the enemy has gotten quieter, and the voice of the Father has gotten louder.
Maybe you've stopped apologizing for being tired and started thanking God for being faithful.
Maybe, just maybe, you've started to believe again that God isn't finished with your story.
Whatever the shift is, guard it. It's sacred. It's the fruit of seven days of obedience, and the enemy will absolutely come looking for it.
WHAT I NEED YOU TO REMEMBER
Now that the seven days are behind you, please don't make the mistake so many warriors make. Please don't close this devotional and slowly drift back into the noise. Please don't let what God just stirred in you become another thing you used to do.
The seven days were never the destination.
They were the doorway.
What God began in you over these 7 days of blog posts, He fully intends to finish. But that means you have to keep showing up. Not perfectly. Not flawlessly. Not with everything figured out. Just consistently.
Open the Word tomorrow.
Pray when you wake up the day after.
Keep a journal nearby.
Find a worship song that moves you to tears and let yourself feel it.
Surround yourself with people who remind you Whose you are.
And when the long fight tries to make you quit again, and it will, come back to these pages. Read them again. Underline new things. Cry new tears. Receive new strength.
This devotional isn’t just for one reading, friend. It’s a place to come back and get renewed.
Come back as often as you need to. The armor will be waiting.
A FEW TRUTHS TO CARRY WITH YOU
Tuck these into your spirit, warrior. Carry them like Scripture:
-You are still standing for a reason.
-Weary people are usually the faithful ones. Nobody gets tired from quitting.
-His silence has never once meant His absence. It usually means He's working on something you'll thank Him for later.
-You don't get attacked like this for being ordinary. The enemy doesn’t pull out heavy artillery on people who aren't going to be a problem.
-Rest is not retreat. It's preparation.
-You don't have to feel strong to be strong. You just have to stay.
-The long fight is forging you, not breaking you.
-You are never alone. Not for one second of it.
Rather than quotes, consider these receipts written by a God who has been with you through every post, every prayer, every tear.
You started this devotional in a moment when you needed something. Maybe encouragement. Maybe truth. Maybe just somebody to tell you that the long fight hasn't been for nothing.
One more thing, before you go.
God saw you this whole time. And I don't mean that to sound like a nice metaphor; I mean it literally. The nights you read this at some wee hour because you couldn't sleep. The prayers you didn't even finish out loud. He even saw when you scrolled back to reread something.
He was there for all of it. And whatever you thought was wasted- the tears, the whispered prayers, the parts nobody else will ever know about; none of it was. He kept every piece."
You were never reading this devotional alone. He was right here, the whole time.
And He's not leaving now that you're closing it.
So, Go.
Love your people fiercely.
Go pray bolder than you used to.
Forgive the ones you've been avoiding.
Go rest when you need to rest.
Fight when you need to fight.
Laugh out loud and don’t apologize for it.
Go live like a believer who has remembered who they are.
And every once in a while, when the road gets long again, come back to these posts.
I'll be right here. Sword in hand, cheering you on every step of the way.
"Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]."
